What is even the point of the helicopter? Feels like a useless feature.
You can't control the camera, it mindlessly hovers and calls out people as "suspects" that have already been dispatched or arrested. Please tell me this is just a placeholder and that we will be able to control the camera/chopper or maybe utilize sniper support in the near future.

You can get a fun achievement for being in the cameras.

I mean, this game if full of "features" like this. Pointless additions that add nothing to the game. Yet they add DLC and charge a crazy 50 dollars for the base game. Shame on these greedy devs.

Lack of senior game designers defining meaning, challenge, player abilities, agency, purpose and goal of features and strategically developing them from concept to implementation.

I'm saying this without trying to be rude or disrespectful.
Just stating the obvious, even if no one wants to hear it.

It's just a gimmick. There's really nothing special about this game anymore. The AI is boring and easy to play against unless you mod it to be challenging and since the AI is so boring and easy, everyone just runs and guns the vanilla AI, which doesn't make this game even close to being a slow paced tactical shooter anymore. The only reason the game is still played is because the gameplay is smooth without any jank controls like other indie swat shooters, so there's no real competition for a modern swat shooter right now. Whoever designed the gameplay for this game did a great job with it. The AI needs to be fixed for S-Ranking and these developers will never properly fix their game.

I think it's funny how it shines a spotlight on a suspect and they don't even react any way to it

"hmm a helicopter, strange but no matter"

Nevermind the sound of a helicopter hovering so low is almost deafening

Devs are so greedy omg, they listen to the playerbase and add content even if they didn't needed to anymore, omg so greedy. P4thetic bro, for real.

How do you want me to improve it, it does it's job by scouting enemies outside, which helps with civilians and suspects that run around the map aimlesly

In all seriousness it wouldn't circle around the AO shinning a bright light that says "hey bad guys the 5-0 is here better be on your guard tee~ hee~ ♥"

If one of the guys could ride the chopper with a sniper rifle being able to make the chopper hover for clear shots then maybe it would be a fine addition, but as far as I see the modding scene is dead and dry for RON

Edit: The salty guy handing out clown awards for free, thanks for the free points

The spotlight on the Helicopter points towards what they are talking about on the radio if you look up at it. Very helpful in the Dark Waters DLC. Not useless at all, very slick. Looks dope hovering in the sky like a shark too.

I'm not sure, but I don't think that sharks hover in the sky. But I'm certain such a sight would motivate suspects to surrender.

I agree. No one is there to make the most BASIC questions, before pouring hours and hours of work into it: "Ok, so, how useful will it really be?" "Ok, how realistic is an overhead chopper when the mission is stealthy (3-letter tirade)?"

Makes NO sense.

Cool stuff are cooler when they have a reason to be.
And they become goofy very fast when they don't.
