1) You get some too good players who will easily clear the mission in a pretty fast pace without a single word said, basically making the session extremely boring.
2) You get toxic rushers who shoot everything that moves including each other and you and as a result you fail the mission anyway.
3) You get some noobs who have no idea what to do, blow you up on door traps or accidentally kill civilians and teammates due to panic and other stuff that leads to a failed mission in most cases.
But if the "fun" considered just to shoot bad guys and maybe even teammates or to generate some meme situations, then yes, playing with randoms might be pretty fun in this case.
And yes, some lobbies will kick you if you don't use mic or speak not their language. Or if you have equipped things they don't want, for example CS gas.
No, most players here are ignorant and too much of a snowflake to talk using a mic.
Avoid at all cost.
People are being a bit dramatic. You can kick/ban whomever you want when you host. And people add friends here on steam, or on discord. Most organize their sessions on discord and say what style they are playing.
Yes, on random multiplayer matches, you will most likely find a lot whom don't use a mic, know the maps by heart and those toxic trolls too. But you can voice what kind of game you want, what weapons you want people to equip etc. No worries, kick those who don't follow your lead. I play mostly random matches, and I've played since SWAT3 in 2002.
I'm a bit done with the structured tactical, though if I join a random match and I get orders, I'm following them. If hardcore tactical is what you are looking for, milsim clans are advertising regularly.
Is this a perfect SWAT game? No. Does it kind of scratch the itch? Yes.
I'm personally looking for a different game, because the updates on this one are infrequent at about roughly 6 months intervals.
Also... BUY ON SALE. Not worth full price in my opinion.
Usually when I do 213 park homes a notoriously difficult map in a classification o call endurance” or a more difficult map that requires a lot more careful coordination and slow movement as rushing is going to get you screwed for later on
Endurance maps for me are
Nightclub
Hospital
Ides of march
Valey of the dolls
Oil rig DLC 2
Mansion DLC 1
Sadly the issue with the community is a small part of the player base plays like rambo, my best advice is really just take the jump find a good lobby and have fun, people can and will play tactically you just need to take action and vocalize it
Some very good points here. I usually host a lobby on friday nights and met some really cool people. I would say it's more common to get people that "don't" get the game in my experience, meaning that they don't have a mic, they don't follow orders or work with the squad. With the result that they either die or ruining the experience.
With that said I have met some really good regulairs and more often then not they request to join me whenever I host a lobby.
Kind regards.

When you see the host start "a lethal obsession", explodes, restarts, explodes again, restarts, gets shot for rushing then ragequits, you will realize this is not the type of game you should play with randoms, but to watch comedy? Then yes this is the perfect game to play with randoms.
