i know its irrelevant to us, but locking guns behind a preorder for console is not cool

yeah, they released a trailer today for it, coming out in the summer

gonna bring an update that comes with the 590m, deagle, m32a1, and a pepper ball pistol, all free for PC users, but the first 3 guns are exclusive to people on console who preorder

PC master race.

It's unfortunate VOID decided to go this route instead of pre-order skins. Though in a perfect world there would be no pre-order incentives. The Supporter Edition gave you skins for existing guns so you were never locked out of using equipment if you were not a supporter. Now with the console pre-order you won't be able to use these weapons.

They are not customers who stayed with the game since early access, so it makes sense they get that through preorder.

I'm very interested in a console version but that pre-order thing got me worried. Almost feels like the game cannot stand on its own merit. I'll wait for reviews and experience of others before buying so screw the pre-order.

I already got burned this month with MechWarrior clans that freezes late game on PS5.

To clarify. I do own the game on PC as you can see with the mouse icon. But my gaming PC is dead and I don't have the funds to fix it or buy another one. That's the reason why a console version sounds sexy to me.

Having a real SP modern tactical shooter on console is worth losing a few items to me. But, I agree it sucks for those that want it.

The thing is, it shouldn't have to arbitrarily have exclusive content.

The whole "early supporter" stuff was supporter edition, there is not a reason for regular owners, even before 1.0, to get exclusive content for no additional price

The only reason those items are locked on console behind a preorder is greed, which is not good for the game or games in general

Absolute scumbag behaviour especially considering how much of a mess the PC version still is well after a year of Early Access. Trying to induce FOMO on console players who have a good chance of ending up with a buggy af version of the game is something I'd expect from EA or Ubislop.

I really do try to put some faith in RoN but VOID does everything in their power to change that. This next version of the game better be damn well perfect.
