Default AI (once alerted, and usually when they're solo) will stand in place, aim towards you, wait for you to pop out, then one-shot you.
Doesn't matter if you're fighting a terrorist or a fiend.
I'd say it's more broken than unfair
The AI are easy to alert because you as a player are not quiet, they will hear things like you stomping around, kicking doors, shouting, shooting, and especially things like flashbangs and C2. While you can go relatively quiet with less than lethals like the beanbag, it is expected that you will go loud. When the AI is fully alerted, you should be careful, mirror corners, bang into rooms, use cover/concealment, etc.
Oh, and to add there are two ways the AI "thinks" to be simple: moral and stress. Moral is as you can guess how likely they are to give up, hitting them with less than lethals and shouting lowers this. Stress however is the opposite, it makes them more likely to fight, and is increased by things like flashbangs, shooting, etc., for AI that are in the area but not actively being engaged.
Which mod is that?
And also some bugs like when a suspect who taken a hostage ignores the flash explosion, kills the hostage and starts shooting SWAT instantly, like there were no any flash effect.
Everything else is okay and is either a matter of luck (eg getting double HS from a running suspect) or gamesense (eg being aware of that the last suspect on the map has a high chance to roam you from behind on purpose).
But unfair: Yes, definitely.
I agree that they spot you way too early sometimes. It's enough if only 1 pixel of you is visible behind a shelf and a suspect at the other end of a huge room will start shooting immediately (example: that huge indoors area in Greased Palms).
And they handle their AKs and other assault rifles as if they were SMGs. Complete BS and as far away from reality as Fortnite tbh.
Worst thing in my opinion is that most of the time they don't care when they get hit. Dude is running across a room, empying his magazine on you with perfect accuracy, you hit them right in the chest with 5,56 and they just flinch for less than a second before resumin to shoot... STILL with perfect accuracy. I hat that garbage.
This AI is nothing compared to the old one we had once the game left early access.
I've done S rank on all other missions, but this damn map is busting my balls lol
