Summary:
With DX12 enabled, the system ram usage was a little higher, the GPU usage was shifted into a "Desktop Window Manager" process, and was showing much lower in task manager. I have no idea why.
Kit: old Xeon 3.5GHZ, 1060 6GB, 24GB system ram, I was recording in OBS at the time also, for normal set up.
I also assumed DX12 would give better results, but the performance for me was the same in both, but given what I stated above, I use DX11.

Performance is very stable in the game, unless you go near certain see thru glass doors (especially at the car dealership map) that seem to lower framerate dramatically and are a known issue many other users reported as well.
That's why I would always use DX12 when you have an NVIDIA card >= RTX2000.
DLSS is so powerful in this game concerning performance.
