This is the first time the club is in with textures. If it's art that violated the trademark law with a logo or something, this is the first time anyone has seen the textured club. You're really stretching to make this more controversial than it is.
They have emails set up you know?
Yeah it wasn't really a cool thing for them to issue a takedown notice for it..
My first port of call personally would be to drop an email with the gist of the email basically being
I really don't envy your position Kavinsky lol. I probably would have done the same thing IMO.
I appreciate the explanation though!
Still, really wished some players stop throwing wild speculations but that is internet for ya and 'journalists' don't really care about the problem. They are click driven after all.
I'd argue the fact it looks like a horror game make it all better. Morbidity aside, I don't mind these hyper-realism take on police situation. If allowing the devs to explore their visions to its fullest potential will provide the players a more richer and engaging experiences, then they have my full support!
As much as people shout for realism, I'd argue it shouldn't be the main point when it comes to crafting RON. The reason why I love SWAT 4 is because I was engrossed by the experienced of being in a shoe of a SWAT officer in an active situation. Looking back, the game was never that big on realism and it's OKAY. Whether by design, due to old technology, or lack of times, it still achieved its goal of providing GREAT entertainment value.
It was entertaining for me and most importantly, it made me fall in love with the FPS tactical genre.
My point is RON is still a game at the end of the day. Entertainment values/player's experiences comes first, messages second and graphic should be last.
OMG excuse this wall of text! Just wanna share my 2 cents.
There's no controversy, the map has been in game long before that date. It's just dumb people looking for drama, and Void seems to have ignored it, which is wise.
