I am not 100% sure, but I think according to what the mods are saying on the discord, they didn't know that it was a trademark issue at the time yet either because it happened so fast. The community was who informed VOID about the store takedown, as evident by the previous posts. It took a while for them to find out what went wrong, which lead them to private the AI video, then making this post afterwards. Again, only VOID knows what truly happened.
As for the publications, its a problem/speculation that the news articles made up based on nothing. No need for anyone to give them publicity. It started with one article, then the rest of the articles piggy backed off of that one article. This post basically debunked everything without acknowledging the misinformation.
