Reason for the Steam Page being removed.
To the Ready or Not Community,

We’d like to address the rumors surrounding the takedown of Ready or Not and its associated pages on Steam that occurred on Thursday, June 16th.

A takedown request was issued via Steam concerning a suggested trademark infringement in our recent Night Club map that was shared as part of our most recent Steam update. We take IP concerns very seriously, and in a show of good faith, we have decided to remove the subject materials and any reference to them from Ready or Not and from any of our social media or other publications.

Ready or Not will return to the Steam store once we complete the changes. We have also removed the AI update video from our Youtube channel and from our Steam Store page, and anticipate that these will be restored after an editing process is completed

Sincerely,
The VOID Interactive Team

Is the update live for non supporters now?

I only have one question, Kaminsky.

Are you 100% sure that the game will be back on the store once infringing material is removed?

Unlikely, for now anyway, the patch will need to go through optimisation passes and bug fixing and of course the suggested trademark infringement removal or replacement with something that still looks good and relevant to the setting of the map.

But soon, In about a week I'd say.

So, first, you guys say it's a Steam backend issue and you're investigating it.

Now, it's a trademark issue? You guys could have been more upfront about it. Not to mention, you guys didn't exactly do a good job of addressing the external controversy surrounding the June 12th release of the nightclub map.

I'm happy it's going to be resolved, but frankly there were better ways to handle all this. I just hope the game stays up.

An official ETA would be sweet, but that is a fair explanation
I just wanna try the mp9 already :steamhappy:

Yeah haha, I'm keen to test the new whitebox maps and the finished club map aswell as all of the AI changes.

But yeah generally it's 1 to 2 weeks following the supporter edition patches us regular players get the update, issues in the supporter patches get passed onto the devs for them to fix ready for it going into what I would consider to be the "stable build"

Sometimes it can be longer, sometimes shorter, it all depends how many issues are uncovered and how easy they are to be fixed.

Thats my understanding of the process anyway.

Change the name to Clubby McClubface.
Lets see a copyright strike on that.

Confirming that it was trademark issue pretty much confirms that it was nothing about the release of the nightclub map release though... Also, the nightclub map was released months ago, and went through multiple visual updates within those past months. The normal update of an already existing map was probably coincidental. The map is going to get even more updates after this as well.
I'm somewhat relieved the timing appears to just have been a coincidence.

You're right about the map going through multiple revisions, I completely forgot about that.

I just think it would have been better handled/generated less controversy if the devs were upfront about the trademark issue from the start. I don't know why they mentioned they were investigating a Steam backend problem.

Also, again, while the map itself clearly wasn't the problem, they didn't address the coinciding dates. Cause a lot of publications took issue with that and have been spreading misinformation about the game.

I will 100% own up to that. With the earliest information we had and what I could see from the dev console, the fair assumption was that it was a backend issue was made by me and I said something to give the community to latch onto as quick as possible.
