Commander mode is a rogue-like?
WTF, no possibility to restart missions? Is there some way to turn this off and play the commander mode like a normal tactical game? I cant imagine playing Rogue Spear or SWAT 3 or 4 with this rogue-like nonsense.

This is a genre in which restarting a mission 15 times before you get it done properly is the norm.

You can just play quick play.

Alt-F4 if something you don't like happens, then relaunch. Otherwise, nope. This is what we've got.

You can restart a mission by killing a civ or a SWAT operator, so the others will shoot and kill you, sending you back to the police station. I believe the outcome is the same if you simply go back to the main menu, though, so you can simply do that. The "stress" system isn't really important.

Honestly, I have no idea what Void was trying to do.
I know guys in this field and they have no problems folding scum bags and giving them the room temperature treatment. As far as stress...they've been doing the same routine for almost 20 years. I don't know what kind of limp wristed operators they are trying to emulate but it's not any clear eyed shooters I'm aware of. My honest opinion, the whole thing is a waste and is nothing more than a way to artificially inflate playtime. Shame on you Void. Shame...

I think the stress system should be reworked, it should be based on how much armor/health they lose. Like, if you almost died yesterday, maybe you would want a vacation and time to rethink if that's the job you want. Seeing dead officers also should have an emotional impact on the remaining ones, because you know next time it can be you.

I think it should just be removed altogether. It adds nothing good to the game. Even if you reworked it so that officers with 'good' stress levels were more effective, I think that'd be such a dull and tedious mechanic that achieves an equally dull reward: a passive effect.

In Door Kickers, your operators get better with experience; their accuracy, aim time, disarm time, etc. improve. And there's quite a significant difference between a newbie and a veteran, so you kind of end up with your own A-team. Death is permanent, too.

Quick play??

Commander mode is half assed, but quick restart is not meant to be a option. Theres quickplay. It seems that you should play that instead.
