Variable zoom optics

Ive noticed two new 1-4/12x scopes have been added, yet i cant find a way to actually toggle zoom, its just stuck at the bare minimum, no obvious key bindings either

isnt that how it is? i dont think there is a "click, 2x, click 3x, click 4x" - doesnt that take manual adjustment of the focus etc? in games its possible but real scopes?

Right but then why add a 12x capiable scope in the first place, why not just do a 4x acog esc scope? And the fact it says 1-12x makes me sure they have some system to do it, just forgot to make it clear how probably

I would assume that it would be added eventually but as it is now it simply isn't implemented. The Nightforce scope having the same reticle as the Specter ought to show how WIP those items are.

variable zoom is coming later, they have fixed zoom levels. Disable ADS zoom in graphics to see it better.

give them more time to fix this complex issue - a year is not nearly enough
they were too busy messing up the enemy AI

The only place I've found a use for a scope is the tower you can climb on Port, but this is a police game so kind of hard to use it without getting penalized unless you are just providing overwatch support for a big team.

LPVOs are supposed to bridge the gap between a red dot-type optic and a scope. Police tactical teams do use them, specifically because you can use them at a variety of ranges.
