if i don't host the game, alt+f4 then launch the game puts me back in the lobby faster lol

Without penalties, it's about 10 seconds long. 10 seconds to start the game, 10 seconds to load into the map, 10 seconds score counter. This game does not respect your time. When you play thousands of times, half a minute extra actually becomes problematic. Give host the option to just start the game. Give option to skip score screen. Giiiiiive options!

Its funny how before you could always restart instantly but they blocked you from entering the menu while your dying animation is playing and from clicking restart before all the score shows up. Either is to prevent UI bugs nobody ever cared about or to prevent you from abusing in commander mode which nobody cared about and can still do anyway.
