No, it will come as part of the free update along side the DLC, just to be clear.

lets hope these 5 months of no updates is worth the wait...not sure whats wrong with UE4 that got tons of updates across 10 years, why switch to UE5 that is still new and probably messy.
For starters the shader caching in this game is a shemozzle and often you have to wait a few minutes and do a few mission restarts to be sure that the visuals for the whole level have loaded in. That's vastly improved in UE5.

And look, while the game has come a long way since 1.0 where there were all manner of performance issues and the thing was barely optimised (the team were vaguely 'happy' when 'most' sections of 'most' maps hit 60 fps consistently), even if UE5 provides a generally smoother experience without any other visible improvements it'll be worth it.

It's interesting in my opinion that the team have the courage to release both the new engine and the DLC at the same time. Either they're really confident, or they know that this community is going to rip them a new ringhole no matter how well they've handled either thing, and they feel they may as well get all the pain at once.

but many other UE4 games added shader compilation. devs dont need to upgrade entire engine to do this steps. also the game didnt come that far from 1.0. we got like 2 or 3 updates max since 1.0 which is a joke.....reflex is not even working.....just a toggle with no function.. lets hope this entire UE5 upgrade few month after 1.0 release was wise, also the amount of time they needed to make their SDK works on UE5.... they literally offered payed bounty to fix a bug/issue in the SDK tool.
