But it has significantly more recoil than the ARN-180, which is chambered in the same caliber.
.300 blk has more recoil than 5.56 but not to the point it's depicted in game. If you tune your rifle properly, it's hardly an issue. However, DD does love to over-gas all their rifles so they run with any ammunition you throw in the gun. The gas port size on DD rifles is well over the NSW Crane spec. Crane Spec I believe is 0.72 and DD uses like .88 or something ridiculous.
That's the real beauty of the AR platform though. Adjustable gas block, enhanced BCG's, buffer springs and buffer weights can all be adjusted to get a very, very flat and soft shooting rifle.
.88 would be a heckin' whump.
Try the G36C and F90. Those are the softest recoiling by far.
