The AI art is unbelievably heinous
Kudos to the "artist" who learned seemingly nothing from art school beyond how to move their mouse around.

He probably means the anime posters in the streamer's coomer cave.

Personally, I like it. I think it makes his whole place even more degenerate and stereotypical.

There's AI use in other parts of the game unfortunately, so this explanation doesn't work

There's plenty of it in the CP ring related missions like The Spider, where they use AI generated kids for the photos, understandably so. But I wouldn't count that as AI "art". There's probably more places but I can't think of any right now.

The briefing screen for the hospital has an AI generated hospital on it. If you look closely the building looks "off" and the windows are all ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.

Smart way to save time and make more content than you actually could with your manpower.

I never noticed the windows. But still. I guess its fine for now.

It's a dumb way to make "more" content because it's so easily identifiable and ugly. It's not acceptable for a product you pay for. We have been living in a time where art had to be made by hand (even with reprinting, the original was made by hand) for thousands of years. If you can't uphold the most basic standards that we've had for thousands of years, you should scale yourself back.

Pretty much every single one of the briefing related art is AI generated, all of the paintings in carriers of the vine, all of the paintings in sins of the father, all the simplistic child drawings in agency (Which is downright stupid imo, like you really couldn't get someone to make a crappy turtle drawing, you really needed an AI to generate that???).

The only ones I know of that aren't AI are the ones on valley of the dolls, since that map was made before the big AI boom, they seem to be photoshop/photobashing art. And it's funny too because you can literally see the stark contrast in quality compared to the other maps lmao, the non ai stuff looks 10 times better.

Realize that the trade-off in this instance is not handmade vs. AI generated filler. It's AI generated filler details vs. nothing at all.

My favorite part about the AI boom is all the self important "creatives" who touted themselves as irreplaceable compared to the mindless worker bee drones of society (read: people that actually do useful stuff) turned out to be the first casualty, the most easily replaceable with AI.

In summary: boohoo

this mostly comes off as you just seething that you are incapable of creating yourself as noted by your wanton distaste for 'creatives', which is crazy
im not even entirely anti-ai but this is so cringe man

I'd honestly rather have nothing at all than the tacky and ugly AI slop that we have currently. This mindset you're pushing is the exact problem, people are growing content for objectively lower quality products.

I don't know you personally but "something is better than nothing" is the mindset of mindless consumption
