crack in wall

inside the police interview rooms there is a crack in the wall showing a room with a bunch of recording equipment looks like the room is also overgrown with plants, does any one know why? is this known/new?

I believe it is a reference to the old, old, old main menu. Closed alpha NDA build main menu. It used to be a desk with a like MacinTosh, think Noir style. Some people seem to disagree though cause it's a bit different, but I think it's a good reference.
