If you have AI mods, even if you think they are nerfing them, it's worth uninstalling them and testing, or double checking to see if it is up to date.
I always wand a door and use a ram to bust it down. I wear a ballistic mask and full coverage steel armor.
I've died a couple times right after spawning in as well. No I don't have any mods.
I will be walking around a room I've secured, about to issue an order for a door, and I fall dead. I have a riot shield either on my back or in my hands too.
It's actually just ridiculous lol.
If you're able to record a clip, it would help a ton, especially dying straight from spawn. I can't think of a single map besides Lethal Obsession where that is possible due to where the AI can spawn.
It's a whole different story when they wallbang you perfectly when you haven't even shown yourself yet or if they're standing two rooms away from you, solid walls inbetween.
That's how it was before the update. So, yeah. I'd say it doesen't happen at all to the same extent anymore, if at all, without you having shown yourself or made noise.
Yeah. Video proof or it never happened. Until then I counter by saying that something like that not once happened to me.
You do know that the enemy AI can and will rush you, right? So just because you cleared the room you're in, doesn't mean it is cleared permanently.
Ahh yes, you're probably one of those CoD players who began to run around with their shield on their back, making them very hard to kill, and now you're mad because it doesn't work like that in Ready or Not.
I any case: it sure sounds like a mod in the background does some vicious stuff with your AI. I recommend a fresh and clean install and don't forget to manually delete any remaining folders in the directory after you've uninstalled the game via Steam.
