I'll take the occasional one tap annoyance for actually having to try over this any day.
They did what players asked them to do "AI is too hard, please nerf." So they nerfed it. Like everyone said, players should of just adapted and got better, or modded what they just didn't get good at, but now EVERYONE has to suffer the simplistic AI that people modded their games to deal with. The loud minority wins yet again. It will most likely get another tweak, but these loud mouths need to just play the game and shut the hell up for once.
I watched a guy on twitch claim that he put 12 bullets into a suspect and he didn't go down. No, you landed 2 shots, you shot 12 times, you missed 10, because you're full autoing in the damn dark. People aren't as good as they think and the AI put them in their place.
I have to disagree. I was one of those complainers or "the loud minority" as you call it. Not because of just the overtuned suspect AI which I already had adaptet to but because of all the other issues that flawed the game at release. Performance being just one of those and broken swat ai which wouldn't follow orders besides many other things.
Well I am still here and I know others are too.
At the same time there are people around here screaming "how dare they.. i want my hardcore ai Back" which didn't touch the game for weeks.
I think the devs did a great job fixing many things with the latest Update.
AI still needs work sure. But I have the feeling for the first Time we got a product which deserves the name "release version"
The latest update was definetley a change in the right direction.
Maybe you should realise that many including me complained not because they hate the game but because they see the potential and want RoN to succeed.
People said the conplainers wont be satisfied never, No matter what. Well I am now.
I promise you, they are hitting your armor (and other parts of you), the readout in the corner just isn't displaying it accurately.
To be completely fair, this game doesn't have that much replay value after you've completed the list of maps so numbers like that are to be expected.
Even games that are nothing but replay value suffer to maintain their early player count numbers.
I think this game is extremely good, the devs just need to have a team that works on NOTHING but new maps - Keep churning out new maps like mad, the game is good it just needs more and more content to stay fresh.
-And if it doesn't stay fresh? Well heck, I've gotten my money's worth. But I'd like to buy DLC for more maps and I would assume the devs would like that cash cow for as long as that would be viable?
I'd buy map DLC's. I would also like to see a return of the game modes, not necessarily different map sizes for each mode though.
