S rank in practice mode or in commander
currently i managed to achieve 15/18 maps in practice and it's really gambling hell

(post, hospital and port are left)

will perks in commander mode facilitate obtaining S rank ?

Im in the midst of testing this myself. But so far, I notice that their is somewhat an effect of the traits on my gameplay. So I have to 2 officers with negotiator, 1 with intimidator and 1 with pacifier. If I have anything conclusive will let you know. And if you fear of losing any officers, just alt + f4.

4x intimidators, 2x intimidators+ 2x negotiators or 2x intimidators+ 2x pacifiers have been the most consistent setups in my experience. Depends on the map, in large open maps like Greased Palm or Hide and Seek I like having 2 pacifiers, otherwise my default are the other 2 I mentioned.

They don't have much of an impact and obtaining S rank in practice mode is just as viable in my experience.

After more than a month, finally manage to S rank Greased Palms. I assign 4 officers with Negotiator trait. Although it does not make your suspect surrender immediately, it gives them a moment of hesitation which allows you enough time to react and pepper ball your suspect rather than waiting for the AI officers to do it for you. AI officers dont shoot unless absolutely threatened, which is a down side because you can beanbag and pepperball suspect that is hesitant. You can mix up the trait as you wish, but the traits does have an effect, but still dont be heavily reliant on your AI and their traits, they dont guarantee a win. It just helps to increase your odds. As I said before, if you are afraid of losing your officers and you know you are on the verge of losing, just alt + f4. But every player has different experience, do take my words with a grain of salt. Do what you will with this information and goodluck. Im gonna try to S rank 3 more missions.

I finally managed to beat Greased Palms, but is seems perks ain't do much of an impact, mb 5-10% for crippling moral.

A proper route is a key to success.

The problem is in 2 parameters moral and stress, they're unbalanced and endgame suspects are tuff as nails.

Very strange and maybe too relative:
I just beat Grease Palms S grade under 21min. in pratice mode.
I tried both, but mostly ended in commander mode just to have the bonuses.

Not sure if it changes much, maybe the suspect panic faster with skills to lower their moral. And 3/5 of them will surrender fast but first they'll try some ♥♥♥♥. The other 2 might go Berzerk on you for Valhala. just because of yells.

My success run in practice mode was almost too smooth and lucky to have 2 less suspects (the nb of suspect slightly differs per runs).

but that's just speculation.

I agree with you, I managed to get by Greased Palms due to having 2 less suspects to worry about.

Glad you finally did it.

nah just do practice it allows faster restarts

Go practice mode, you will have to restart a plenty of times and that's really frustrating.
This is my setup I used to get all S ranks.
For yourself, use bean bag in your primary slot, gas and optiwand
Peepergun for your swat team.
Then assign 2 optiwand and 2 battering ram. Assign 4 smokes per member, 1 wedge and good to go.

Post, I trend to wedge the big area and clean the outside area, then clean the upper office and go for the big area. The last building, which is at the right side of your spawn I usually fill everything with smokes and let my mates do the job.

Hospital, take it easy, you have plenty of time disarming the bombs. Probably the hardest map and I died to the last suspect at some random stairs looking for him. Play with wedges as much as possible.

Port is not that hard, try to avoid windows and don't recommend "open and clear" the big area (where last container is) because your team will spread too much.

If not, use AI and lethal mod and enjoy the show.

Finally all maps on S rank beated.
Relapse was the most frustrating, i got minor PTSD from it.

and Relapse showed that friendly AI shouts on a civs should be with option mute/unmute.
same for restrains and weapons kickup - ignor option
for a player there must be an option to down a civ with hands or whisper
