You'd probably enjoy it (unless you're really into the planning aspect. In that case I'd recommend Doorkickers 1/2), but I'd recommend waiting for a patch or 3 at minimum, as there's a lot of unresolved quality of life issues.
PS- We get a basic map layout and we can draw on the map. But AI can't read it or follow any paths. It's useful in coop though.
Vegas 2 was pretty good.
The planning phase and breaching mechanics of RS6 poop all over this game.
Highly recommend "No Mercy for Terrorists - Relaxed ROE" and "No crack for AI"
DL them both from NexusMods
Vanilla no crack for ai is way too easy, there are decent alternatives
It's like night and day between the developers of Ready or Not and Ground Branch.
Ground Branch has betas that get updated as things are fixed, not a year later and more broken like 1.0 release of Ready or Not! They also ask for feedback, and make suggestions what they want you to test.
RoN is not something you just "jump in" in short occasions to do a mission or 2, you have to have time, even to get to the mission selection. The all-present slow walk/fast walk (there is no "running") kills my mood nowadays as most other tactical shooters are more fast-paced.. the turtle-mode does fit to RoN and the maps though, thats why I did not uninstall it.. :-D
In RoN when shooting starts you literally do not see what is happening on the screen and you get aim punched from enemy misses. The enemies are bullet sponges.
In R6 if you had to secure two directions at once you'd synchronize teams on the planning stage and do both sides of corridor at once, RoN you are pretty much leaning one way and hoping there is nobody coming from the other because there is no planning and no teams.
No. Not at all
Those games and the swat series are a different league.
The first Rainbow six was released 1998 and I bet no one will say in 26 years "Well I am a fan of ready or not.. is this game similar ?" Those games are classic for a reason.
I still consider Rainbow six ravenshield and Swat 3 and 4 the much better games but that's just my opinion.
But to the OP. Yes RoN is similar.
Uh, RoN actually has 7 min-20 min missions. Some even 2-3 min long ones.
You have to really really go out of your way to have a mission lenght of 40 or even close to it in my opinion.
