Storage requirements are a lie
The game does not require "90GB" of storage space. It requires about 116GB because every time there is a patch 58GB of the game has to be downloaded to rewrite the old version of the 58GB game.

Not only is the required storage a lie because the game really needs a chunk of memory bigger than GTA5 to keep and update a tactical shooter with like 18 fairly small maps, not even counting the saved replays. It is also not explained anywhere that you need to leave the free space and let your drive constantly be subjected to writes and rewrites.

Even better as the filesize will inevitably balloon as new maps and game modes are added its really going to be double that in terms of storage you're losing.

If the whole thing is an engine problem, fine. I still don't like being misled. If I knew it may have influenced my purchase.

If this is the worst we see in life then we are truly blessed. If not well buckle up.

Imagine not having 55GB free on your drive because you're doing things wrong in the first place.

What? I just checked it and the entire game is only consuming 57.8 GB of my SSD.

The game doesn't require 90 or 116gb. You're high. The 90 comes from the game's old size and the specs haven't been updated. The game is currently 58gb in size after 1.0 came out.

The game patches all 58gb every update because welcome to UE4 games, they all behave this way. This is not VOID's fault and they have no power over it. So stop complaining.

I have 65gb of free space on the drive I use for this game. When the hotfix update was at 99% I had less than 10gb of free space on my drive when I checked. I would have gotten errors if I didn't have the free space set aside.

I don't recall complaining about how it updates being VOID's fault. What I actually said was they need to fix the storage requirements that they're advertising and stop lying to their customers.

I had 103gb of space on the drive Ready or Not is on. After that patch, I have 101gb. Yeah, no, the problem is you; not RoN. Also, them not updating 90gb to 60gb post-1.0 is not a major issue.

The game is 58gb, end of story.

Is english just not your first language or something? I was clearly talking about during the patching process. I didn't say after the patch the game size was 116gb. I was saying the game size is functionally 116gb because, on top of the 58gb size of the game, during patching it needs to take up another 58gb of space to do the patch.

Since you've triggered my autism and VOID have blessed us with another patch just hours after the last one I've gotten you photographic proof of what I am talking about.

This is right when the patching process starts

This is at around 99% of the patch complete

Do you see what I am talking about now? Yes it reverts back to giving me my initial 65gb of free space after it installs the patch but the fact it needs almost all of the free space I had means I can't use that free space for anything else EXCEPT patching this game.

So yes while technically the game is 58gb, functionally its 116gb and since 90gb is what it says under the section of the store page labeled "System Requirements" it is being misleading because what you're actually required to run and keep this game updated is 116gb. A whole extra 26gb of space we aren't told we're not going to be able to use for anything else.
