gas masks

Hi all i jsut got the game but not much is explained. How do i use/equip a gas mask. Im in single player but not campaign just doing missions and cant find gas mask. In fact no face wear available at all. Do i have to progress to unlock it?
Also does the m320 launcher have its own ammo or does it use your regular grenades. i have selected 1 in ammo for the launcher but presume that give me a few uses.

Hello. So if you go into the locker and change your loadout you can choose either the gas mask, flash goggles, face shield, and NVG's. The only item you can activate with a press of a button is the NVG's. The goggles and the gas mask is always on and dont need to be activated. That means you can gas a room and walk in without hurting yourself.

The M320 is it's own ammo and is separate from your throwable grenades.

Is there a way to somehow get rid of this gas mask and it is extremely annoying
