Still terrible if that is the reason. Because the first playthrough is then a constant stutter fest.
I had the feeling stutters are gone after reducing anti aliasing and textures. But would require more testing to see if that is true and consistent
Yeah.
Just tested it again on a new map, which is also bigger.
With Textures and Anti Aliasing on High instead of Epic, its all smooth.
(not sure which of both is the issue, but both require lots of Vram, so I set both options to high at once)
With them on Epic, its a stutter fest.
Before 1.0 it was all fine.
Either Vram usage is higher or its bugged. I have only 8gb VRam on my RTX 3060TI, but as said, before 1.0 it was all fine and I had an overall higher performance (140-180fps with spikes over 200 fps without vsync. Now freezes with same settings, all on epic)
Since it is supposed to be optimized, I really assume a bug.
Edit: Also I am on Linux...so everything could be different for me anyways. But compared to Windows I had much more performance before 1.0
Also my first attempt to load it after the update had me crashing with a vram full error. Only after starting in DX11, then lowering settings and back into the game with dx12 worked. I then bumped the settings back to epic.
So I really assume bugs.
