Neon Tomb is literally impossible to S rank
Either one of your stupid SWAT AI kills someone even though they're equipped with non-lethal weapons, or one of them die, or you die because you can't see anything through the horrible graphics. This level sucks so much, the worst of the game so far by far.

The first time I did it I should have gotten an S rank but I guess a SWAT killed someone and I didn't notice, but every other time since one of the above things have happened. And the worst of it is when the damn suicide bombers refuse to surrender, I've hit one with 6 pepperball rounds, three taser rounds and like five bashes and they've still just refused to surrender until either a SWAT shoots them dead or they blow themselves up anyway. It's ridiculous. Seriously, I don't think Void knows what a taser does, you can't just ignore being tased like that.

Seriously, it's impossible to do this, someone always dies, very usually the terrorists. Why should i get penalised for my teammates killing terrorists who are massacring civilians? ♥♥♥♥ this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ level.

Well, Mindjot is equally bad. You cannot see anything in the server room throught he small server room windows and the big server room is also a mess, cause the AI insta locks you when you are at the upper windows, or shoots down on you with eagly eyes when you sneak through the server room.
Since you got non lethal, you cannot shoot back through windows (if you even see them, they like to wallbang below the window and you barely see them).

Complete disaster. Complete redesign of Port Hokan, which was basically fine, but Mindjot and Neon Tomb are still a gameplay nightmare. Sure, they look nice and awesome. But it's all geared towards atmosphere and graphics. No game design principles to adhere to rules that enable and promote good gameplay.
Gameplay seems to be a total second thought.
"Immersion and atmosphere first" to the point that I am thinking about just uninstalling the game and forgetting about it.

Give your team pepper autos. They have a tendency to headshot with the beanie from time to time which kills.

Oh and as far as the suicide bombers are concerned, one stinger grenade will sort them out.

It's happening every single time now, one suspect refuses to surrender despite me dumping all my non-lethal ammo on them and tasing them and bashing them and everything else, until finally five minutes later one of the SWAT AI kills them, and there goes the S rank. This is utterly ludicrous!!!!

its not that you are penalized but the run then becomes imperfect. S rank is a standard rarely achieved, but it's the goal.

It's usually an animation bug, if you are talking about the suicide bomber.

If you let him finish the animation, he surrenders. Problem is, due to the fact that you cannot see the state, you don't know how much to "pepper him" so that he is (internally) in surrender mode.

I've also encountered that bug, despite having 0 secondary(pistol) ammunition, when your SQUAD run out pepperballs there's a slight chance they'll fire a single lethal shot.
If only Tasers were still qualified to be secondaries, combined with a shield, a feature removed in 1.0 for god knows what reason.

Add it to the bugs list, it might get fixed in a year or two... maybe three ?

I don't think that's the case, because otherwise the SWAT AI wouldn't keep shooting him and eventually killing him.

One of the main objectives of the game is to S rank every level, SWAT AI killing terrorists makes an S rank impossible on that run, hence I'm getting penalised.

Ready or Not has a lot of moving parts that interact with one another, and they resolve those interactions without your input.

This is by design. It's how good sims create the illusion of an intelligent world.

But Ready or Not isn't very balanced, and so the RNG becomes overly punitive, the illusion breaks for some players but not others, and that leads to a lot of gaslighting.

If you're frustrated like this, then the game can't gaslight you. That's a good thing.
