Indicator for when Ceramic Armor broken?
Per title. Does anyone have a description or screenshot of what your HUD should indicate when your armor 'breaks' (i.e. armor carrier disappears or turns red)?

I have 40+ hours in the game and I'm not sure if I've ever noticed this. Almost all the time it seems that my deaths are due to taking too much limb damage or getting instant headshot by the John Wick AI in this game.

Oh ok, thanks for the description. Had no idea it was only certain portions of the armor carrier would break. I just assumed breaking would mean the entire vest is ruined.

The human UI need more information about it. Nothing is explain about it.

And my advice, dont use ceramic armour, its trash.

Best armour to use is steel as a heavy armour or kevlar as a light armour.

No point. If your ceramic armour is gone its gone, nothing you can do about that really.
I've found Ceramic is pretty good

Just don't be a pointman with Ceramic

Good but not superior to steel.
There are situations where ceramic comes out ahead (IMO). I've actually found myself using it more and more lately. Mainly because of the speed "bonus" and also ceramic armor will full stop 100% of damage incurred from bullets up until breaks.. then it does become 100% useless lol

However, knowing this you can use it in certain scenarios to your advantage depending on your play style/game plan obviously. Steal on the other hand NEVER breaks and will be there with you for the "long haul" so to speak, but it will only ever negate a percentage of incoming damage. I don't remember the actual percentage but it was still pretty high just not 100%.

I think the trade off between the two works extremely well actually.

Yeah I know what you mean, that's why I made the post. Was hoping someone would have more details on what it means for certain areas of the body to be certain colors (I'd assume dark red is worse than regular red). Also I don't know what the red outline of the body indicates either. or even why the outline goes from white to red.

I know Kevlar sucks and isn't worth the movement benefit it provides, so it really comes down to Ceramic or Steel. I've only been choosing Ceramic, since most of my deaths have been from too much limb damage anyway. Maybe for some certain long-term missions (hospital, nightclub, port), Steel might be better, but I really haven't used it much, so can't comment further.

edit: I suppose maybe one risk to look out for with Steel, is that apparently there is risk with bullet impacts spalling and can cause damage to nearby friendly units. So at least for something like Commander/Practice mode, probably is not wise to equip your AI teammates with Steel, since they tend to huddle on nearly every movement. For regular players, probably keep your distance from the person taking point with Steel material equipped.

My point exactly. I think it's just preference on what trade-off you prefer between Ceramic or Steel. I don't think either is vastly superior over the other.

Personally I prefer Ceramic, for the slight speed buff. Though the speed only applies on the initial momentum of your character; i think after about a full second of non-stop moving, all characters will run at the same speed regardless of armor material.

Kevlar on the other hand, unless they provide an update to buff this material, is never worth taking ever.

What I understand is that you have some overall HP and your parts taking damage is reducing it to 0 - death. Light red is light injury and as it darkens the injury is worse. I've noticed you can't kick doors any more after leg injury as you try to kick it worsens your injury to the point you can't kick no more. Not sure about arm damage, I didn't notice any negative effect like worsen accuracy or something like that. HUD seems pretty pointless in this regard, if you had arcade HP bar 0 - 100 % it would be enough.

personally I never use steel anymore. You'll be dead first before your ceramic armor ever break in this game

So wrong you troll !!!

Best armor is light vest with ceramic or going in with only a stab vest. You clearly do not know the game.
