Armor coverage
What's the point?

Why would I choose only front when I can have front-back? Or better yet, why choose front-back when I can have full coverage? This is not explained in the game at all, do I get stronger protection in front if I go front only? Weaker protection if full? I don't get it.
Thanks in advance to whoever can explain this to me.

More armor=slower movement. Less armor=more movement, but less coverage. If you're sure you aren't gonna be shot in the back, only take front, etc. Type of armor also = movement restrictions. Ceramic for instance= lighter than steel, but shatters, but doesn't fragment to team.

As long as you cover your basis and make sure you aren't flanked, back isn't needed, but it is a nice thing to have.

It's more for the multiplayer part of the game since you don't need back armor if someone is covering your ass and since the AI shot the closest to them. There is no reason to not take front and back in a single player raid. Apart if you like to gamble a lot.
