GETTING SHOT BEFORE BEING SEEN
Bro, what is with this being shot through walls before they can even see me... I can't shoot them but they can shoot me... it's nuts.

Can't say I've ever been shot without being seen/heard, but I did see some sketchy shots before, but upon reviewing my replay. I either made too much noise, or they saw me through a door crack or something.

Yeah, I was crouched, and was hearing bullets from the other side of the door was being shot at). opened it and there is like a broken down server and he was shooting me through it. he was all the way down the hall with only his head popping up from the stairs. me and my 3 friends have, on another map was shot through the wall before he even saw us, when the perp was at the opposite side of another room. it's crazy. just crazy to me.

Yeah this is a known issue, the AI is so bad that it is quite literally ruining 1.0 and the devs haven't even bothered to address it. Disgusting.

I also hate it as well. that's why we use free lean abuse to counter them

I have to agree with this thread, it needs to be addressed. I love the game now more than ever, loved it when I first purchased it, but the AI should be more believable and realistic with a 1.0 release. I even catch the other members of my AI squad members doing all of the above described behaviors. Since I play by myself and AI squad members, it lets you see how the enemy AI is programmed and behave. I'll randomly see my AI squad member track the enemy through a straight up wall and take random shots as they track the enemy with no eyes on them, so you know the enemy AI does the exact same lol. I've been tracked through a wall and blasted at full auto, instant dead. I chalked it up to thinking the AI was advanced and just took some shots through the wall where it thought I could've been standing for cover, but clearly that's not what happened. I was just being X-Ray tracked through a wall. This should be priority. Everything else is fantastic, just hone in the AI behaviors, make them actually realistic instead of impossible. Fix this crazy ass tracking they have, plz...

I don't have so much of a beef with suspects taking potshots through walls and doors and stuff when they hear cops. That's not silly or unrealistic. The issue is that they're all seeing eye shots, and they almost always land.

If a tango was going to freak out and start shooting at sounds, they're not going to automatically know where the face of the thing that made that sound will be. Most of the subjects are supposed to be untrained (we know they're not behaving like this right now) and they'd absolutely miss high and wide more frequently than they are right now.

Yeah see I can't see an issue with this. If you see someone cracking a door then snooting their gun around it casting shadows, while you're looking at that door, then obviously you're going to shoot that officer. This guy's tactical choices were just wrong (no mirror for starters).

This sort of thing isn't what I think people are bothered by. In the instances it's happened to me I'll just be walking and bullets start hitting me from the other side of a solid wall because someone knows exactly where I am on the other side of it.

Not to mention lockpicking isn't silent (Even if people think it is.) We also don't know how much noise he made prior to this. The suspect could be looking right at the door from a spot you can't see (But he can.) and just watching it. This would of been much better from a freecam perspective from replay imo. Then we could dissect it.

I'm not saying that suspects don't wallbang, but I've done 8 missions on S now and watched the replay back. They never locked onto my position through walls, unless of course I made a lot of noise. They pointed in the area the noise was, but they didn't follow with their guns.

The suspect can even see you through the 1 pixel between the wall and the closed door ... it happened to me to get shot just because i was slow walking at 10 meters from a door who had 1 pixel of gap between the hinge and the closed door.

I had a suspect shooting blindly to my position from two room aways through 3 walls. He did that for 30 seconds easy. If it's not wallhack, i don't know what it is.

nobody would just start spraying into a door that gets slightly opend you cant even know if the guy moved if he would have sprayed the door and not 100% they guy i would consider it but wallbanging like this is pure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

If you mean silent as far as the in game logic goes, it is silent. I constantly unlock doors without allerting enemies on the other side of the door. And my AI squad mates whisper while doing it.

If you meant real life, then I'd agree lol

Nobody? happens all the time. If you are armed in a room and know for certain armed gunmen are coming for YOU, Im gonna 100% of my attention on any and all access points and if I hear as much a pin drop at any one of them - its Go time
