why dont people know how to play around a shield?

i main shield and i like being able to cover my teammates, but in my 30 or so hours in RoN ive noticed when the shield guy starts taking fire, everybody wants to push past him to get into a firefight with the AI just to die. i even crouch down so people can shoot over me during engagements but 90% of people in public lobbies are so killhungry that they tunnel vision a target and refuse to let me soak up rounds as we advance. its tiring especially when its a host that ragequits because he wanted to be Rambo.

Don't crouch Don't move while taking fire. trust me you don't want random bullets hit your head. just stand still. the reason they don't stand behind you when you crouch because AI accuracy is set to chest level so when you crouch they just shoot pass your head to behind team.

many people don't know how to CQB that's the reason.

btw yeah shield is the most overpower tool in this game lol I beat every level just tank by shield

most of public players don't even listen to voice command. i'm also tired it's like they don't know how to communicate or play as a team together. but when you find one it's really fun

I don't think the shield is useful anyway. Since, the AI is pixel aiming who ever they want. If you stay behind the guy with the shield, you will get headshot anyway.

they target the first one they meet. I clear whole hospital by my team follow me I just hold shield. non of my team who're following me hurt.

shieldman just have to tank until suspects ammo out. our team who's following just have to stay away let them shoot shield first.

it works yes but if you're alone and they come close to you while crouching. they will just walk right to you and bang your head. crouching will not work if they already right ahead of you.

0.48 minutes shieldman almost get killed? what if your pistol out of ammo and you have no backup friend.

yeahh I've played almost 200 hours I have that experienced of getting shot while crouching and I never do that ever. but that's before patch 1.0 maybe they fix something?

They wanna be the person who gets all the flashy kills and solo the map. When you say that you're doing non-lethal it takes a minute for everyone to get the memo and swap off the AR

i often try to support my shield but i mainly play public so not the greatest technique between us and often ends with near misses when they decide to push forward.
otherwise it's because there are 3 people stacked up behind them and i cant get a shot off while they just watch the shield guy die

with the ai as aggressive as it is people want to stay alive instead of observing for 5 mins and will treat it like cod, treat it as the fps it currently is.
i mean have you got a suspect to surrender though show of force alone?
meaning no flash, gas etc. just having 4/5 swat members with automatic rifles aiming and shouting at a armed suspect for compliance, in my experience they always shoot.

Yes actually lol

It was on the Kid Recruitment map. Guy was outside and he did a fake surrender pretty quickly but we got him on the ground just by shouting. We got him on the ground a 2nd time with a shield bash
