Soft wall need to fix for AI enemy
since 1.0 released I watch replay many of my video I saw enemy can wall bang players without actually being in line of sight. I think dev should fix it or make softwall damage lower. I can say they do not spray at the wall at all. this case they use pistol looking at the wall once I entered they one shot through softwall without had line of sight.
If they see me and run to cover and shoot through walls. it's acceptable. In this case they don't even see but they know I'm going in and just shoot through. it's unrealistic with that accuracy for people to shoot blind wall.
anyone encountered same situation?

This AI has the awareness of a fox, it knows exactly where the player is because the suspects went't trough with rigorous CQB training for this nursery school. This suspect is so intelligent he knows there's not a single threat along his way to his primary target

The suspects in Mindjot seem to have special military gear that allows them to see trough smoke along with all the other suspects in the game.

This suspect in this video cleverly uses the hearing and knowledge of the material he was shooting through. The poor player was too deaf to hear the suspect coming. Maybe he should buy a better headset.

Again the AI hears the player. And even the Swat AI knowing that they can shoot trough several metres of....I guess cardboard to the exact location of the suspect they were able to make the suspect surrender.

they can see you / your flashlight , hear your footsteps if not slow walking , hear you yell , shoot , throw grenades etc and that way they know where you are and they also know that they, like you can shoot through certain materials and walls and they make use of it if you give them the opportunity, you could do the exact same to them in return though , so they dont just "blindfire" they heard you right there or saw something like flashlights etc

they're in toilet. I'm entering bedroom with slowly Pie door then once I'm sure bedroom is safe I enter and I know there's toilet I've not checked so I pin my gun at that open door. but after I pie a bit of that toilet's room. they just fire at me through wall. I don't think I make any noise at all. they're not suppose to know my location.

leaning make that much sound?

no they dont give a ♥♥♥♥ about your flashlight or your laser and blindfire through a wall would be ok but pinpointing a guy through a wall with closed doors is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ try it with a flashlight start the port harkon there you have a good chance of a guy standing in the beginning with the back turned you can almost shove your Flashlight in his ass and he doesn`t care

LOL no more playing slow. I've got solution. Don't play slow Don't Use Q E leaning as Pie. Pie with standing straight stance. don't slowly pie use Free lean instead. it's easier than I thought when I play so aggressive with the knowledge of solo CQB.

I've been wall bang or Ai outsmart me every time I play slow. I just have to play aggressive with clever opening angle. :steamfacepalm:

regarding those videos , first video - swat ai is just broken but they heard stuff and they reacted to it, im not talking about swat AI though im just regarding enemies mostly in multiplayer, singleplayer varies from this , i have however completed singleplayer and never saw swat doing this for me personally , i dont know how or why they did in the video

second video - swat AI heard footsteps of the guy but the flickshot was a bit aimbotty , not the ai suspect though , he heard stuff and started flanking which is normal, you saying that he knew there was no enemy on his path is not directly true , he doesnt know whats in the path .. because i had enemies do this exact movement but bump into me on their way to teammates they started flanking towards and got startled when i was suddenly there, happened several times

third video - suspect sees flashlight after turning around for the sound he heard and pinpointed the location , he is too accurate i give it that, gas sometimes just doesnt work on certain enemies i had that happen aswell, probably a bug or he was considered wearing some sort of gasmask or something by the game, not sure on that one, thats why i dont trust gas and never really use it, also you cant see anything , but AI can , another reason not to use it for me

fourth video - again swat ai is broken, never seen this personally

fifth video - i agree player didnt hear suspect footsteps to the right and might need a better headset , i clearly heard him in the video and yes he exactly used his ears and knowledge of the material he was shooting through , but the way he was kinda glitching though the wall was a bit weird

and last video - yes the suspect heard the player again yelling and started suppressive fire in that direction , which the AI does quite alot

my experience comes mostly from multiplayer and there i personally have never seen those things happen , so the singleplayer aspect seems to be quite broken even though my swat ai worked pretty well , not perfect though , had them get stuck on something alot and not doing what i told them to do aswell like picking up stuff or so

so i never said they are perfect i just said they have perception as you do and you have to be aware of that, they can do all things that players do aswell, thats also why i modded the AI to reflect real life better both pre 1.0 and now in 1.0 aswell, atleast in regards of doing a headshot in 0.1 second of seeing your toenail coming through a door because that is not normal , i might mod the swat ai aswell to fix those issues ... even though i never had those shown in the videos

In shooter games they devs create the illusion that the AI is smart and make it so that AI can pre fire location where the player is/was. It's clear that Void has botched it.
The second problem comes with the wall banging.Now that all walls are made out of thin paper and AI is tracking you like an aimbot you have very little in terms of options what to do, and since the AI also has an insane reaction your time to start thinking about those options range from 200milliseconds to maybe 2 seconds.
And what makes this even better is the god awful design. Small gabs that you cant see trough? Well guess who can.

none of the above , i just said whats happening and if you would actually read what i wrote i just said that with the aimbot like behaviour that i modded that away because it isnt normal by default to get shot in 0.1 seconds, so i agreed with you and i also said that the AI is broken so that comment of yours is completely pointless , the other stuff happens IN SINGLEPLAYER which i have completed with mostly no issues as i said and stuff like that has not happened to me in multiplayer ever, that is from my personal experience and just because this happened to you doesnt mean it happened to me so im telling you exactly what i have experienced and also explained why the AI is reacting the way that it is, if you find the AI broken .. thats fine because i think that aswell and thats why i modded it to not be like that, im in no way defending this default AI in any way shape or form, neither did i argument in any way like i would , i just explained stuff and not trying to "desperately" find reasons as you worded it because i have no reason to if im explaining stuff, if a simple explanation is offensive for you , which it seemed to be the case then you should work on that , nothing else i can say about that, have a nice day

not quite right sir but close

ignores the flashlight pointing directly at him - he said "SWAT" which was reacting to it right when it was pointed at him and raised his weapon in response of getting close and hearing footsteps and searched for the source by looking left where he presumably heard the noise of a suspect that then comes out and kills swat

ignores shouting - there wasnt any shouting besides when he got pepper sprayed and he gave up on the shout so he didnt ignore it

start to turn around at the last second to 180 a SWAT. - didnt even happen he just looked left

btw great fail at the start and having that much health seems to be modded aswell so there is no telling if there are other mods impacting this, funny video though
