The clues are all there
If you arrest the woman on the 3rd floor she tells you to talk to her boys
She's the mother
It's even the soft objectives
Problem is the mission really didn't need to pull the rug from under the players. The 2nd Mission shouldn't be hitting double digit bad guy counts. It's too much for newer players (comparatively, you won't see this many badguys until you reach the 5th mission in SWAT 3 and the 4th mission in SWAT 4).
It both fails to ease newer players into the game's mechanics (ROE, using your AI team, using the various gadgets) or provide a real challenge for veteran players such as myself.
Eh, 50/50. I think some people have the nostalgia blinders on. For example, SWAT 3 has multiple levels in its campaign that have 20+ suspects (Hotel Carlyle and both convention levels). Once you reach the forth level of SWAT 4, you'll be dealing with 10+ suspects for the rest of the campaign.
That's not to say RoN isn't really borked when it comes to the amount of suspects. The main issue is more the fact that the AI is hyper aggressive and extremely accurate, making every level play out the same. There's other aspects as well, but to keep it short, I've spewed most of my opinions on the official Discord for those who really care. (Someone does, right? Please?
I'm 100% confident on this, and I've played SWAT 3 this year. Again, doesn't happen on every level, but there's at least 3 where you have to deal with a minimum of 20 suspects (leans closer to 30 though).
Skip to the end for the scoring. Total of 30 suspects:

but I will say, while the school shooting mission is generally well done, its absolutely laughable how they have like FOUR GUYS there. there is literally a single case in recorded history of a school shooting with two perpetrators, columbine.
its in the nature of these things that the active shooter acts alone. but apparently that was not enough action for void so they turned the school into another "terrorist compound" lmao
i love playing Ready or not online. u rite bout early access.
The difficulty or amount of people isn't even the issue... We went from a gas station hold up... To a swat call that literally brings us into the middle of a terrorist organisation, like what is that? It'd be so much fun to defuse a hostage situation with a kid who killed his mom. (geeze).. Instead it's just a tactical call of duty.
I think it's expectation vs delivered product. Sort've expected something a bit more realistic, considering the game. Once again, not once in the history of swatting, has a swat team been tricked into taking down a terrorist organisation lol
4 dudes(or however many i took, cant remember) just casually comin' to deal with a hostage situation that involves two kids, end up massacring a bunch of terrorists.
Game wants mental health mechanics but immediately throw them into 4/6 V 30 in some random building lol
Everybody should install No Crack for AI - Cracked Sweet, it literally transforms this garbage AI unplayable game into enjoyable game that plays literally like SWAT4. The guy behind the mod is genius in my opinion.
Its a bit ridiculous, I agree, but I like the mission anyway
There's actually been a few more than Columbine. There was that YouTuber and his Trans Boyfriend or whatever that shot up a classroom. But yeah, its pretty rare
Get no scooped!1!1!!!!
