too many suspects
i understand some missions but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 23 suspects for a 5 man team even if the ai wasn't broken that's just unrealistic it makes sense in the themes but like it would be better to make larger raids have more squads of ai

I don't think there would be a problem with such amounts of suspects, if the suspects wouldn't all be trained navy seals.
well yeah but the dev team seams adamant to keep that so m looking for alternatives also OHD is based

Its literally unplayable. I enjoyed this game so much, but now i get killed the minute i walked through a single door. The AI is completely broken, it shoots throuugh windows even if you done nothing. I just dont get it why the devs made this game so unrealisticly hard. There are a ton of suspects and the maps are way too large.

Every time during shoot no shoot or cqb and other training days some old guy who's been around would say at least match but strive to overpower the enemy in force. How do we plan on matching half a platoon of guys with the toddler swat ai, lol?

It's easier to hide the lazy ai tree this way.
Quantity over quality.
Swat 3 had 1 suspect and 1 civilian in the 2nd mission (father & son) and showed more realism and better ai in there, in that single mission, than a whole game of RoN. 22 years ago...

Does anyone know how to fix game crashing after this new update? Game wont load past mission start. Will uninstalling and reinstalling work perhaps?

since they're basically relying on modders im still not sure why this hasn't been fixed, addressed, takes 1 guy to log in cus they work from home and change a couple values or implement a mod into the base game.

I feel this game is trying too hard to be just like swat4 without actually innovating and ended up carrying over limitations and unrealistic features that weren't even fun like evidence collecting.

Unfortunately, I think VOID's design philosophy seems backwards for what is supposed to be a SWAT successor. Suspect numbers are high yes, but if they were any lower with how large these maps are the game would be extremely boring. Its bad enough you end up looking for the last suspect/civilian for 10 minutes at the end. Now imagine you barely getting to shooting anyone.

The map size is way too large. The maps have actually gotten larger with the removal of game modes which included maps cut down to size. The game gets irritably boring where I end up quitting after completing "Bring Order to Chaos" instead of staying to look for the last objective. Why am I still running around looking for evidence?

Same thing goes for the difficultly. From some reason, and I hope I'm wrong, they don't know how to make suspect AI work. So instead they make them cheat so the game is "difficult." The AI is able to see through smoke, lock on to you if they see a sliver of your body, they are not effected by suppression, and their weapons do not follow the same bullet penetration as the player does. They will blast through two brick walls to kill you while your shots do nothing as you desperately try and return fire. You can download an AI mod and see how shallow the AI is. It unfortunately makes the game boring to play.

I hope these issues are addressed, but these problems have been a thing for years and still have not been fixed.

I am replaying the swat games at the moment. Even Swat 3 feels like the more evolved game in regards of depth and tactical possibilities. Well graphics Not so much:D

Evidence collecting and reporting to toc was actually fun. Especially in Swat 3 back then. The Moments when your team got angry on you and contradicted your reports when you made mistakes were great.

RoN has this all dumbed and watered down (press f) - soul

What map has 23 suspects?

You need a mod just to get 29 for modded maps

OHD is not remotely close to being able to replace this game and its damn unoptimized and instable unfortunately.
didnt mean to replace this game just meant its a based game with a cool developer
