So about those Bomb Vests in Neon Tomb

are they supposed to be Like Defused? I know the Civilians beg us to take it off of them and if you mess up shooting there vest detonates it but I feel like there is something missing from the whole idea

like almost 80% of the game there is so much that they said the game will have and almost 0 implementation.

i feel like they could have implemented them with a chance they use a dead mans switch (a button they have to hold down and once they let go of it, because they die, it detonates the explosive) though that could make the game feel even more rng based.
