Enemies too aggressive, too strong.
I know I am not saying anything new, but I guess it is worthy to say it again.
First of all, I love the game, the same way I used to love SWAT 4 and SWAT 3. I have played +20 hours and had a lot of fun. But it is clear that there is a problem with the suspects, as many other players mentioned too. They are too aggressive and too strong.

I mean, most of them, most of the time, want to die killing rather than surrender, forcing you to shoot them too. Even the few times that they surrender, you never know when they are going to change their mind and produce a knife or a pistol and go for you. What is really cool, and realistic, don't take me wrong, but I think this should happen only a few times, not every second time.

And by "too strong" I mean that too often they keep fighting after they got shot, they get pepper-gassed, flashbanged or hit by a C2 blast or whatever. I have experienced a few times the situation of throwing a flashbang into a room with a suspect, entering right after the explosion and receiving an instant headshot.

I love the realistic details and the surprises when enemies suddenly go berserk, but I think those things should happen only once in a while and not every second suspect. Moreover this situation forces you to go very aggressive too, like sometimes seems like is better to shoot first and forget about non lethal methods.

Ah, and another thing, I think gas grenades have a very small area of effect. I throw a gas grenade on one side of a medium size room and the suspects on the other side of the room, 4 meters away, remain unaffected.

Don't take me wrong, I am not asking for an easier gameplay. I love challenge and realism, but I am afraid the game is slightly failing on those aforementioned points. This is one of the very few games in which you can arrests the suspects instead of going for the headshot, and I want to try that.

I mean I am running the M16 because as much as I love the MP5 it's not possible to use it, the enemies take too many shots. I tried the MP7 on levels with body armor but it's the same problem.

I love a challenge too but realism is important and no gang banger carries a m1911, an uzi, and a knife, plus 7 mags for each. No such morale system they fear nobody so they surrender to a beanbag hit but stand up really fast with their second gun. Alot of problems with AI and they all factor into eachother.
Most misisons should have suspects that only have 1 gun with 1 or 2 mags, or a knife. and most of them shouldnt be wearing body armour. Most gang members cartel members or random methheads, aren't gonna carry multiple magazines or guns, just the one gun. And body armour shouldn't be so common.

Come to think of it I never saw an extra magazine on a suspect in IRL documentary series.

Definitely. They need to give up easier, react to hits, get more affected by gas, be more scared by the number of officers shouting at them at the same time...
I am looking forward to the next patch which will hopefully make things fairer. Because so many people are complaining about the same issues, devs must be aware of this, right? Right?

This is ridiculous
same here. the enemy AI has the same issues for more than year now. tons of people already bought the game, the devs have zero incentives to work on this. they also proved that they can't or won't fix it.
