Helmet Cam team control
I seriously don't understand how this was overlooked. It's hands down on of the best singleplayer features in SW4T, with the map sizes in RoN it feels like such a kick in the shin to not have.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, Helmet cam in SW4T let you assign commands through the helmet view.

say there's a square room with a hallway that wraps around it and 2 doors on opposing ends both with line of sight blocked from the ends of the hallway.

In RoN if you wanted to split up it's unnecessarily time consuming. You have to move down the hall towards door A with everyone, once it's in view you can then Queue a breach command to blue team, then you have to move with red all the way back to the other side to then queue a breach command at door B, then you can execute and breach it from both sides.

With helmet cam control how it plays out differently, you assign team blue to move & clear the Hall A and move with red down the Hall B. you queue red to breach Door B with you and then through the helmet cam assign blue to breach Door A and execute.

The more I play the more the game feels held back without it. It was especially bad during the university section where you want to be fast but can't because you can't tell Red team to open the door the door they're staring at without leaving the room you're clearing with blue team and walking all the way back to them.

If helmet cam control is too hard to do why not a fog of war map that is revealed as you go through and lets you assign commands through it.

My assumption is they dropped it due to not being able to find a way to bring controller support to the system while still being able to order your team normally. Rn a lot of orders are done by scrolling or looking at an object. For example scrolling to select blue team and looking at a door to have your blue team stack up and get ready to breach the door. When looking at a compliant suspect you can order them to approach you or turn around from a distance

I would like to see it return and I wouldn't mind if it was a Keyboard only thing

A controller friendly radial command wheel similar to OG/360 xbox era R6/Ghost Recon games sounds like it'd solve that. It's okay if commands can only be given through full screening the helmet cam, it would also allow more command options for the player.

I don't think these are design issues that older titles haven't already solved. If anything they were more open to innovation.

They could do this in the tablet full screen camera, it's already there just add ability to point at an object and select action. I hate team stacked at the door but you can't order not even open the door if you aren't right behind them.

I really miss this feature, i could clear with red and have blue heading down a different hall or moving them to cover as we clear the rooms. Hell the club i would have them on separate floors. Amazing how a game that came out in 2005 figured this out and offered it but a game now cant. And if its a whole controller thing then dont offer it for the controller. Shouldn't be playing with a controller anyways

This could bring a use to the tablet, right now there's little to no use looking at the Team cam in the tablet, and the team cam resolution is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
