There was PvP mode shortly during the development phase. It may come back but they made it clear it was low priority.

I mean, its why I was initially excited. Don't care about single player. I think the price is a bit high too, there is also no demo which makes sense if they don't have the resources for MP.

Eh, I don't really see how a PvP mode will be anything other than what R6:Siege or any of the other tactical shooters are. It's not like they'll be able to enforce global RP rules for cops and suspects across the servers. That being said, I'm glad some folks are excited for it, I hope to be wrong.

if it happens it will be the same old boring ass TDM. i played SWAT 4 MP in the past and, while it was novel at first, it was exactly that and got boring within a couple hours. devs would need to come up with ideas to make it good and not just "first person to click wins" kind of trash gameplay

R6S from the get go was PvP centric and the bulk of its audience and playerbase enjoyed that kind of focus.

The bulk of its audience? The Rainbow Six series switched from being a realistic tactical game to some Fortnite animu PvP game where team Rainbow fights itself. I remember the bulk of the playerbase groaned at the realization when Siege was announced.
