The Hanged Man Achievement

I have now completed Port multiple times just with taser and flashbangs and the achievement is not unlocking. Does anyone have any tips or is it just completely bugged?

I tried the following:

~ with/without AI
~ let AI do all the work and don't fire a single taser/flash, no door kicking/unlocking etc.
~ no glasses/nightvision
~ empty gun and secondary
~ completing all targets until commander sends you in result screen
~ no other gadgets in inventory except taser/flashes

I really don't know what to do different anymore

You can't use a shield. If you used the mirrorgun or door wedges that will invalidate the achievement as well. People have said cuffing suspects yourself invalidates it, but I'm not sure.

I think for some people achievements are all bugged. I assume this is the case because there is no way that only 0.3% of players have beaten certain levels like steam says.

Except it is probably true, as so many people get stuck on the 6th map out of 18. Also remember that co-op doesn't give achievements either.

Yeah, seems only commander mode gives achievements.

just tried it without shield, still not working :/ thx for the suggestion tho

What mode? I did it in practice mode for easy restarts. It sounds like the achievements are bugged though.

I've done it 20-30 attempts with ever so slight changes. No equipment at all, period. SWAT AI does it all. No achievement, done all recommended things. Even unbinded my primary and secondary gun. I'm still gonna try but next step might be re-installing the game. As of right now, people who got is purely luck.

i tried training and normal story mode
just finished it again and this time the game crashed with an error right when it ended.. guess it just should not happen :D

One thing to mention, zip ties count as an item. So zip tying a suspect ruins the run!

okay. after SEVERAL hours trying to figure this ♥♥♥♥ out. I finally got it. Comprehensive list below of things that I did for my successful achievement

Allowed:
Both practice mode and commander mode
Yell for compliance
Arresting
Collecting Evidence
Opening Doors
Using the Taser
Using Flashbangs
Using Bash
AI Lockpicking
AI Arresting and Collect Evidence

Not Allowed:
You cannot lockpick
Both you and your squad are not allowed to have any headgear other than No Helmet or Helmet Only. This includes NVGS, Ballistics Masks, ect
I had AI do nothing but Open and Clear. No equipment
Both you and your squad are NOT allowed to have the Ballistics Shield or use it

As long as you restrict your actions to the allowed list ONLY and remove all shields and masks/nvgs from your AI squad. You should get the achievement

Are you using quick throw bind for grenades? Try not if you are and let me know if that works.

OK DONE IT FOR BOTH HANGED MAN AND COYOTE!!!

All i did was equipped everything that is mentioned on self. For AI and self Helmet only, No shield. Only ask AI squad to open (picklock) and clear, arresting and collecting evidence. And it unlocked.

Can AI use lethal? Or AI need to use taser only also?

nvm, got it in first try. i arrested one guy myself, chucked few flash nades, use two shots of taser. Rest is done by fully lethal AI teammates. All I did was open and clear
