Yeah pretty much this. The map is pretty easy if you avoid the server rooms and be very careful on the roof. I think I got a B though, wanted to savor the novas feel.
Haven't used shields yet, will try that. Can I force them use switch to shields?
Yep, this right here is my problem. Whenever you make an entry on one side, you can bet on one suspect immediately opening an outside door on other side, flanking you. I can wedge the outside doors sure, but inside there are even more doors I would need to wedge in order to not get flanked. I guess I will look into some console commands because if I don't get this on the next two attempts....
I do check that, it's a habit from Swat 4 days, it's just that there is nothing I can do against flanking enemies.
But as you have mentioned, shields help with getting shot from behind, so I guess I will try that
I'd say if you wanna just "get through" this mission, Equip you and one other with a shield, give orders to clear and stay in the rear watching your back, the guy with the shield will go first and draw the fire and your buddies will clean up while you bring up the rear, equip a couple wedges to try and funnel any wanderers towards your front or other entry ways besides doors behind you.
Besides the server rooms, the areas are tight so gas or bangs can work in your favor on the smaller rooms for a clear (yes, smoke works, dont use them in large rooms that's stupid especially if they are not in range otherwise you just make a smoke screen for yourself and a barrier for the AI to shoot you)
If you wanna be more of a "in front" guy either follow the AI with the shield through while you clear. It can be annoying sometimes when you have a wanderer or two but you get through it. I actually got capped by the last dude because I tried to clear a tiny closet area where he was way in the back as soon as I peeked in he took my head off. I should have just let my AI go in there for the last one just for the clear. I got cocky.
