Seems like they had to rush it out by the end of the year for financial reasons. We'll get the real 1.0 in Feb, prob.
As Reuben said HDR is barely used to its full potential when there is no build in HDR-Support. Guess for yourself if there is HDR support if the game does not even have a brightness slider.
Yet as I claimed before I wont ruin my perfectly fine settings for one single game. I will just adjust the INI as Reuben suggested.
My theory is that since the devs refuse to say a word about brightness settings, it's part of the difficulty balance and they just won't admit it. And that would be silly, because lighting is a core part of the difficulty for horror games and yet pretty much all of them let you adjust the brightness...
I could be totally wrong, but I've been playing games for decades and I've never seen one omit such a basic feature for so long, without the developers giving any indication as to when it might be added. It's suspicious and disappointing.
