zero the optics
The point of impact is at least 2 or 3 inches lower the the point of aim. (not a get good issue)

Its realistic. Look up "height over bore".

So is the barrel of the gun. The closer the target, the less accurate the red dot is gonna be for predicting where the bullet is actually gonna land. That's not a skill issue that's a real-life issue.

You can actually test this in game by going to the shooting range, shooting the target before pushing the button to make it go farther out so the first shot is point blank. Then make the target slide out and fire again. Having the red dot be centered for extremely close shooting makes no sense, red dots and sights in general are use for long-range engagements, and so they're calibrated for that, for close range you have canted aim and hip-fire. Bullets don't come out of the red dot.

If I am a red dot at center mass, between 0 to 300m it will hit center mass in perfect conditions. The optic is zeroed to the barrel, adjusted to the shooters eye. The it lasers used are also zeroed to the barrel as well, you do not slap on an ir laser and it is good to go. The point of an ir laser is to use the laser and nvgs to put rounds on target without using optics in low light and night operations.
