Controller support? Some say yes, some say no

Some older posts are stating that they play perfectly fine with their PS4 controllers, other are saying its still not implemented.
Than there are the controller layouts. Steam should work, but the bindings are all over the place.

So, what gives?
Is there any chance I can play this game with a controller (and please spare me with the usual „you need WASD or else you dont make it through the frontdoor“ comments…
And if so, what controller is working and or what bindings are the ones that work best?

The objective answer is yesn't. The game does not have official controller support, but it has been confirmed in the past as planned and teased through videos.

However, the game is perfectly playable through Steam big picture mode, but you have to set your own controls up.

So its working with the PS4 controller with the Xbox controller settings and some tweaks. What I initially got wrong is that one needs to be in the shooting range and not in the lobby for aiming and shooting to work!!

Can Someone help me, i cannot get any of the controller layouts to work, like i cant get it to load it at all. I have no " Controller configure " options next to the other options.

Connect your controller to your pc, go into properties in your ready or not steam library. Select controller, enable steam input, and then the controller layout tab should appear shortly next to support

Yo I’m super late but can you share the layout? I’ve been implementing different bindings but nothing ever really feels natural. I love the game but feel like I’m driving a oceangate sub most times.
