Greased Palms must be the worst mission I've ever played
I usually only had good words for RoN and I was always looking forward to play it. But this mission?
The AI can, and will, see and shoot you through tiny gaps that the players can't possibly be aware of. You can SEE the AI on the outside spawn and despawn, while you can't shout at them. When you get closer they will immediatly engage. There is a guy you have to capture for the mission to be even possible to succeed, and that guy is armed, running around, shooting through gaps. Only time I managed to cuff him was when he was in the office with the door closed. Every other time (I stopped counting at attempt 8) he was shot and killed by friendly AI, or I had to shoot him because he would otherwise kill all friendly officers.

I wanna at least thin that I'm pretty decent at the game, but this mission is just incredibly bad made, sorry.
Of course I don't just want to complain, so here's 4 things on how to fix the map.

1. Make the suspect you have to capture only spawn inside one of the two closed rooms on the inside.
2. Close one of the loading ramps on the side, only leave the one in the back open
3. Make the AI outside spawn in earlier ....
4. Block more vision in the main packaging area

Also, I had to alt f4 because I don't want all of my officers to be in therapy after failing the mission over and over gain. Thats pretty bad game design imo

Flawless argument. No counter possible. That's it, wrap it up people. There will be no further changes to the game.
I love how everyone just applies starfield logic...

I'm not paying the modders...I'm paying VOID. So if the experience is ♥♥♥♥...it's voids fault...

Bro....you can't be serious...

Ignore any missteps because someone who didn't even have to compared to the guy WHO HAD TO did the work and FIXED IT....

That's how silly you sound...

I actually agree, mods should improve a complete game, not make it playable in the first place.

It's so weird they think "oh the mod exists so it works"...well what if the mod didn't exist.

Perception is everything.

Yes and you don't lol, ralize that VOID, the Devs, are always actively communicatiing with the Modding Community...

VOID MADE SURE MODDDING EXISTS, Now Gamers are pissed because there's Mod but the Dev's didn't make it.

Entitlement Issues for sure.

Dude we get it...You got caught silly...Stop trying to bully someone with gaslighting and emotional blackmail...That's how you get banned

None of what you said counter acts my points. VOID did not make the mod, if everyone says the mod is making the game playable. then if the mod didn't exist..then by that logic it wouldn't be playable

Which means we bought a broken product. Which is why everyone's complaining...

That is fair criticism.

side tangent: IF the game was FULL mod support...why are you scores not recorded...weird that if Mods are so open why make that choice

Just because mods exist doesn't change the vanilla experience of Greased Palms (and other maps), which is what OP is complaining about. A for-profit company took our money to play this game, and it's severely flawed in its unmodded state, hence the criticism. We are actually entitled to a working product that we spent money on. If you don't think that way, Frosty, you are exactly the kind of customer companies like VOID thrive on, who will eat the slop without complaint and die on a hill defending it.

passed it yesterday 5th try...what're you talking about lol. As long as the guys incapped but not dead it counts toward the objective.

I am not satisfied with having to shoot him over and over, hoping he doesn't die in the process. I am with the thread opener, it is bad design.

It's not hard if you use your AI mates to cover and clear sectors methodically.

Here, I recorded my run. Wasn't even the 100th try. Just like the 4th or smth like that.

Wow, some people really do love their mods, don't they? If you wanna play with mods then that is perfectly fine, but for me, in my humble opinion, a base game should not require mods to be good. But that wasn't the point of this post.

Apparently complaining works, and I finally did the mission, A+ even.

I guess it took me so long because I always try to arrest as many people as possible. Everyone can play call of duty, but getting a good score in RoN is a whole different story.
How well does the AI handle less lethal weapons? I thought about the tactic of letting them clear everything, and I even tried it, but it resulted in 95% deaths instead of arrests. Then I thought about less lethal, but not on this map, as there are too many object that would (I think) block projectiles that don't have penetration.

I went less lethal and 2 shields, which worked out in the end.

I think it is the map design and how the AI works, that makes it really frustrating. I sometimes see my own AI mates react to fire and shoot at the wall away from the action, even though there is no chance that they can see the enemy. Furthermore, I think they do that, because they must be able to return fire though thin walls and doors, so they kinda cheat in that regard. Which is fine unless you play on a map with a lot of angles, and obstacles with many holes and gabs, which can be penetrated, or in general, for player not really transparent windows and also grid paths, where both are rendered in a very unfair way for the player, but do not affect the AI.

The enemy seem to see through tiny gaps and shoot with no need to identify their target. They don't shoot at their own, do they?

However, the AI seems to work most of the time IMO on most maps, so I would mostly criticize the map design. It does not work well with the AI.

And please stop making references to real life. This is a game that has to work with limitations and for playability. Plus, gatekeeping players who defend paid products for no apparent reason, but just for they own ego, are the worst.

that sorting facility is awful because of how many angles the ai can shoot you through walls or small gaps. ai is overtuned currently and shouldn't be able to headshot you through walls at 25ms

I love people labeling getting wall banged, shot through a window with the blinds closed, or accidentally killing an FBI/FISA/FIB agent who is in the process of mag dumping you as a "Skill Issue." Or when my AI compatriots decide to move towards an unsecured doorway BACKWARDS or eat a dozen plus rounds to the face before reacting.

There are issues with people playing a game poorly, and then there's the game being built poorly to offer an unfair/unrealistic challenge. This game thus far has been the latter.
