The Swat AI is pretty bad.
Let's be honest this AI for your swat Squadmates is pretty poor. They don't react to cover, when their being fired at from a different room they forget he's there after a few seconds. Their basically stuck room by room unless you hold their hands, and even then it glitches when you tell them breach or search a room. The AI in half life 2 have better awareness than the swat AI in this game.

Eh, I just went back to SWAT 4 (with the First Responders mod installed that supposedly came with SWAT AI improvements) and it's still clearly superior here in RoN now after the 1.0 update.

Is the implementation without fault? Absolutely not but it's actually pretty good for what it is.

The suspect AI however....

Swat 4 ai holds angles better, specially vertical ones.

Swat 4 ai reloads their weapons at under 25% ammo, yours don't.

Swat 4 ai doesn't laser sudpects that are in the process of fake surrendering, making any form of reaction a joke.

Swat 4 ai doesn't commit high amounts of friendly fire due to overpen.

Swat 4 ai doesn't 1 tap suspects straight on the head while clearing.

Let's not talk about suspect speeds/ai.

The enemy AI needs a bit of rework many missions where they shouldn't be crack shots and wall banging you and your buddies both cant see them, friendly AI I really like what they have done but more work needs to be done stacking on doors and not shooting the enemy AI and here is this map for example the Ides of March I think is the name the contacts are all ex military with IED door traps great mission but with your dimwitted AI at times its rough but I made it through with A+ in the 4th try, but other maps its a joke at times and yeah maybe a skill improving system for your buddies to get better and level up, paramedic trait doesn't work for some reason lol the others work fine, the post office map is insane maybe tone down the enemy AI by like 2 or 3 and the third mission they need to tone down the enemy AI there they are low level scum bags they shouldn't be such good shots for some reason that mission got me the most it took me so long to get that one done and now I am stuck on the post office but it kinda makes sense its a hell of an operation so yeah there should be some gang security for such a smuggling operation but yeah the enemy AI and enemy AI defiantly need some more work done for the mission specific and enemy skill level based on what type of criminal they are specific and it will be perfect.

Tbh i noticed a bad AI too since 1.0 release.

I've often seen my mates just running blindly into enemy crossfire, doing their own thing, sometimes running around in completely different places instead of staying with me and once I even had the situation where a mate blindly ran shortly after I gave the command the room to be flashed by a flashbang into it, only to get shot by multiple enemies. I've already shot down a mate who suddenly ran around in the middle of the room in the crossfire between us and the enemy instead of staying behind the commander or at least close by. I also noticed in the crack house missions that we got shot from outside the building as we was running around in the second floor. In addition to that the officers shouted to enemies who standing behind a wall in that small house with the cave, we were outside.

Doesn't really make sense.

They do, actually. That's my biggest gripe with the game. It goes like this: an officer fires, then in 1 millisecond they lower their gun and turn in a different direction, so it looks like they didn't even fire, but the suspect drops dead.

Swat 4 ai always fires a bit after the suspect is down, it isn't as robotic as RoN ai is which is just, suspect dead? Stop firing instantly.

Really? My experience is that SWAT 4 AI often 1-shots a suspect and then immediately looks away in a very odd manner. Not always, of course.

But I agree with your point that there should be inaccuracy, firing in the same direction without necessarily immediately hitting and also occasionally shooting when the suspect is already dead.
