Ending??? [SPOILERS]
So in the final mission we get some unique dialogue between Judge and FISA, and a choice. Close the door (submissive) or leave the door open (defiant). Initially I closed the door on my first run and it ended normally, cut to credits, regular unlocks when I got back to the Station.

However, on my second run, I got the same grade as my first, but I left the door open and ended the mission myself.
Here's what I noticed
All of my teammates instantly went into CRISIS after my scorescreen
Strange bright red "NO NEW UNLOCKS" message at the Station (I never noticed this after any other level replays).

Did anyone notice anything else? Does this signify anything? I can't find any new stuff anywhere in the station.

It appears in practice mode, as well. I replayed the port mission twice last night, and the 'no new unlocks' appeared both times. It means what it says; nothing new was unlocked.

I just got this ending today, I didn't even realize the first time and redid the entire mission assuming I it didn't save because I closed the game or I didn't get enough score. My kneejerk reaction upon realizing it was the end was "That's it?"

I feel like that map had the strongest (if not only) real story elements, it makes it feel like the story is just STARTING.

"No new unlocks" just means you've unlocked every piece of equipments and you cannot unlock anything else (nor any other missions because you ended the campaign).
The Crisis state could also be the number of people you've killed. You need to compare the two runs, not just base yourself off your last one.

No seriously, on the topic, has anyone tested if this is actually the real ending or not? It just feels so abrupt and so unfinished that it makes me feel like this must be a bad ending type-thing. Like, maybe if someone goes through the mission and DOESN'T close the container, something different will happen. I don't know that's the best theory I've got and like hell I'm testing it today.

Either that or it really is just a shameless plug for future DLC content because the devs didn't know where to take the story or "ran out of time."

I in fact killed less suspects in my second run than my first, and I haven't unlocked 100% of the unlocks ingame. In my first run my teams morale was all "content".

You still have already unlock the rewards for the Port Haken run. The morale also plays along with the boosts of your team, and their actual state of mind. (If they were already stressed, more chances for them to be in Crisis.)

It wouldn't make any sense to force them into Crisis once you let the container open, because they're freed by yourself. It should be the opposite, once you close the containers -> that means you are locking them for the FISA (which is dumb btw, it's supposed to represent the FBI not a weird or tweaked secret agency like the NSA that would definitely use them to track the main culprits. Perhaps an opening in to the original plot that was about former soldiers and cops revolting against the actual society like in the old trailers.)

This is indeed the 'real ending'. I understand the frustration with the....lukewarm conclusion.
