Non-lethal sidearm?

So, how to prevent your squaddies from pulling their sidearm if one of the suspects feels like eating an entire magazine of pepper balls and still not going down?

There doesn't seem to be any non-lethal sidearms in the game and I don't see an option to replace the sidearm with a taser.

If the suspect doesnt surrender with non-lethal means, then you will have to resort to lethal weapons. This is the way.

Let me put it like this.
I'm trying to S rank the crack house but there is always one situation where a squad AI has to resort to pulling his sidearm and murder a guy because the suspect seems to be a spicy food enjoyer with a death wish.

Remove all ammo for your squad AI sidearms

You have to use taser and bashing, it's the best for surrendering method. I just completed the whole game S rank.

You can do it in MP on 2-3 tries, but with SWAT AI it will be much more difficult. You don't even lose points if someone dies in MP.

Wait, that actually works? I thought those are spare mags and there is always one loaded by default or that it wouldn't work in general like that.

Well yeah but this topic isn't about what I'm doing, it's about what the squad AI is doing and how to prevent it. Thanks though.

For what i've tried myself you can remove their handgun ammo, so they basically dont have anything lethal to shoot with haha
