Is 1.0 up to SWAT 4 Standard?
Hello,

Is this game now fully released with 1.0, as in is there a complete full-length campaign that can be played in coop? Like in the good old Swat4 days?

Thanks

I think you can have a lot of fun in COOP specifically. It removes half the AI issues (officer AI) and if you get wall banged at least you can laugh about it. You also do not lose if you die (you cannot switch officers).

I also think you can play any mission in MP so just avoid the ones that are busted.

. I'd say the SWAT AI overall is better than SWAT 4.

No not at all.

The Swat Team AI often ignores your orders or stands still doing nothing while getting shot. Just today my whole Team got killed by one single suspect 5 meters away, armed with just a pistol one by one without reacting at all...

In a mission yesterday, same situation but with a knife:
One suspect killed the whole team one by one, without them reacting at all.

That`s why I decided that the game is not worth my time.
There is something seriously wrong with RoN's AI in general at the moment.

I will play it again when it`s patched and fixed.
But at the moment it just doesn't feel ready.

I had over 70 hours in the game, got used to the terminator AI
and my missions began to fail just because of broken Team mechanics.
A reliable Swat AI in a Swat Game is essential !

Maybe it`s fun in Coop - but it`s not the swat 4 expirience by any means. Not now.

Yes I have uninstalled it till it's fixed, way too many other games that play as designed to have installed!

It's inferior to SWAT 4 in almost every department except graphics.

The game doesn't feel like a police squad apprehending the suspects and more like a kill team hunting dangerous androids.

Now that I think about it, it could have worked if they made it an Aliens game or based it in some other futuristic setting.

That about sums it up...

and even then it's "industry changing" elements...are in hard pre alpha state.

I'd say that if this game didn't have the graphics. this would of been abandoned by now

Pretty much yeah. Graphics and some elements of the gunplay keep this afloat. Kiiinda, even those graphics and gameplay elements aren't entirely superior compared to SWAT 4. For example, SWAT 4 had destructible environments: during firefights I remember money bills flying through the air, pipes leaking water with bullet holes. So it's debatable even there, where in most other aspects, I suppose SWAT 4 just wins.

Swat 4 still has generally better ai, suspects in early levels hesitate and even fumble, suspects feel different, strict roe missions are made fun because the ai actually works together and prepares ambushes.

Civs will warn of where they believe "bad guys" are, they can be right or wrong.

Suspects tend to surrender if cought in bad positions far from other suspecrs or cover.

Somehow Void still thinks that to counter people wallbanging suspects...the solution is making them laser you on damage taken, instead of just fixing RoE, ain't looking good.
It's already been covered, but suspects and civs in SWAT 4 were unpredictable in terms of whether they'd surrender, run, or seek to engage. It made them seem like people (because the responses were human responses: fight, flight or freeze).

In RoN unless you crowd control suspects with a tool, they suicide by cop. Every suspect. Every time. No matter who they are. I don't think I've had a single suspect choose not to fight to the death, and the fact that you know they're going to fight you, makes your gameplay decision-making simple, obvious, and boring.

Likewise, civilians just sit there in place. They don't wander or roam, or run into crossfire like like they did in SWAT if you failed to corral them, so if you see a door functioning and someone moving about it's always a suspect.

The other insane and awful thing is when you come under fire you end up getting completely debilitated and unable to aim - to the point where you couldn't hit the side of a barn. Conversely, suppressing suspects seems to do nothing; and they're practically aimbots at this point.

People will say "Ready or Not has this too".
Meanwhile every civilian that does this is pointing towards the exit/spawn as if they're telling me to F off.
