Way Out West achievement

Just wanted to ask if there are any other rules to this achievement (complete Coyote using only .357 Magnum as a weapon). I tried it but didn't get the achievement.

The achievement must be completed in Commander or Practice Mode. Order your SWAT team to standby and solo the map with the revolver. If the SWAT team helps you with any weapon the achievement will not count.

I got the achievement while using the SWAT AI who had rifles. As long as I personally only used the revolver I still got the achievement.

The shield probably invalidated the achievement. You can order your SWAT AI to run through the level. As long as you ONLY use the revolver you should be okay.

Unlocked this earlier, not 100% sure what the requirements are but here's what I did:

Only used revolver, no shield, nvgs or grenades. Friendlies used primary weapons of choice but didn't order them to use grenades when clearing. I also didn't bag weapons or restrain anyone.

Attempted this a few times using parameters other people got the achievement with.
Such as shield nvg combo, grenades and wedges, but it didn't unlock. I say this because the achievements is to only use the magnum "as a weapon".

If I were to try this again I would use shield with nvgs and don't clear rooms using flash and clear for example, or use any grenades myself.

Read this and followed your instructions and got the achievement on the first run (I achieved a C). (also took the max amount of ammo for the revolver).

I got it in practice with NVGs on, I ordered my team to open and clear everything. (NO GRENADES OR EQUIPMENT. YOU PERSONALLY CANT USE ANY GRENADES OR EQUIPMENT EITHER). I had a shield on my back but never pulled it out once. I didnt not personally tag any evidence (This includes passports and the boat at the end) but your squad can do it on their own. (I never ordered them to colled or restrain) Hope this helps.

I solo the map with the revolver, and didn't use any other gears, just revolver, in practise, and I didn't get the achievement.

Ran it with the .357 Magnum/Pepperball launcher, all secondary ammo/no primary mags, no grenades or other gear (besides NVG's/Shield), had my team on pure less lethals. I missed one of the "Soft" objectives, but completed everything else. For the record, I did not use the shield, it was merely in the inventory slot.

Edit: Didn't specify previously, but I received the achievement.

What your AI team brings and uses is fair game

But you can ONLY use the Revolver. No grenades, no gadgets, nothing but the 6 shooter

i'm convinced it's just bugged for some people. i did it twice, once leaving the team at the spawn and killing all suspects alone and once with the help of the team. no achievement

i'd rather wait for them to fix it

I just got the achievement. Did it in Practice Mode.

Brought my team, used NVG, but only used revolver as main weapon. Brought full body ceramic body armor.

I did bring grenades, a primary assault rifle, and other gear like mirrorgun and stuff, but didn't use any of it. I did not bring a shield. Just went through the map, kicking down doors and shooting with only the .357 magnum. Saw one of the AI team mates ice someone with a shotgun and it still gave me the achievement. Team was still able to go arrest people fine as well. At the end, I just pressed Y to soft complete. Got a B.

I am certain zipties count against this. I opened doors and cleared the map with a .357 without attachments. Basically, make your squad cuff guys.

also having issues with this, so far nothing
i swap to revolver at the start and stick to it, no laser
let my bois cuff sus and bag guns
no minus points
even not bagging the soft objectives did not help
