Replays are taking up space on our PC's
They've added a solution in today's update! Thanks guys!

"Added a new setting option to “enable/disable” the replay feature. The default setting is set to “disabled”, which also may improve the game’s performance"

We need an option to turn off replays. I just realized that I had over 15 gbs of replays in my c drive. I searched the menus for a way to turn the replay save off but I did not see anything. I had to delete each replay one by one. Please give us the option to turn this feature off in the near future. It's not a big deal now because I caught it before I mysteriously ran out of space, For now we'll just have to delete them after we're done for the night I guess.

You should see a demos folder, All replay files are stored locally in there :)

Just nuke the folder, or alternatively if you don't want files being stored there, right click the demos folder and set it to read only, it should stop the game from writing files to the folder.
Thanks a lot for the read only fix man, appreciated.

After checking, I'm still seeing demo files written to the directory, so as an alternative step..

If you want to ensure the folder isn't written to, You can right click the demos folder and go to Properties, go to the security tab, click system, then disable write access by checking the box under "deny" for write access, Do the same for the other users ( your name + administrators ) and it should lock out RON from writing those files into that directory.

The first method was untested ( until just recently where I tried it myself ) and I'm about to test that alternative method which *should* work.

Second method confirmed working to prevent replay files from being saved to the directory.

Be aware however that if you want to re-enable them, you'll need to repeat the process but uncheck the box and apply for each of the "users", Your name + SYSTEM + Your name ( Administrators )

NP, I just posted a thread with a how-to, A bit more in depth with bulletpoints and it is stickied for now.

At least you can save your space on C drive now, You'll just need to undo the changes if you want to re-enable replays.

Kind of strange.
cuz the devs dunno what players wants n also dunno how to design those function properly... they did the same dumb sht last time when they decided to add a in-game mod browser n they force the players to download n install their mods in their C-drive...

Forcing us to download mods outside of steam is stupid. Why can't we just have workshop?
Forgot all about this, just ran out of storage and did not know why 🤦😄

Dev's originally said it would have workshop, but they are widely known as liars at this point i would hope.

Yeah they went to modio, which in itself isn't bad they just don't know how to implement it. I recently picked up Deep Rock Galactic for a few reasons, but one is that I have always heard that it's modio implementation is the best out there. I definitely did not hear wrong.
Now, yes they do install on the C drive... But the mods for that game are small. I have 18 subscribed and that's like 228MB. So while I don't like it, I can bear it. Also cause the game procedurally generates maps so you don't actually need big map mods.
