No, you can peek the door and disarm it on the opposite side. The only risk would be you pushing the door too far open, or a suspect being on the other side.
Still the number of traps set by subjects seems a bit high.
I like it and think it's fine, it slows me down a bit and with randomization, sometimes forces me to go to another entrance if the AI are also in the room. Prior to 1.0, the map had I think 3 traps max, and 2 AI, and it was honestly just really boring because you could rush the basement and there was a pretty good chance one of them would be there. Was pretty easy to deal with.
