I just tried running it under DX12 and it crashes. What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥-show.
what is forces RTX and where did you find that ?
This guide goes into detail on where to disable the RTX settings. Ignore everything else besides the RTX settings, since that's the only options I've changed and the game has been running perfectly fine.
With my testing with RTX enabled, it's the lights causing major fps issues, especially the lights from cruisers since they're spinning constantly, as well as the lights on guns which when turned on and off will cause the game to lower fps dramatically.
I dunno why they have these enabled by default with no option to turn them off.
Also if it's you're first time loading a map, the game will stutter until it finishes compiling shaders, it needs to be done once per map, so once done you don't need to do it again unless they alter the map.
in the gameusersettings.ini i found:
bRayTracingEnabled=False
bRayTracingReflectionsEnabled=False
bRayTracingShadowsEnabled=False
bRayTracingAmbientOcclusionEnabled=False
seems like they are off the entire time and my fps is still unstable despite running with 3060Ti and the latest driver
and weird i found this in the ini
bBounceLightEnabled=True
i had it turned off in the game
and whts bExperimentalFeatures=True ???
Weird. Those setting were all enabled for me in ini file and turning them off solved the issue for me.
Those extra settings are new to me. I may enable them to see what's different once i beat the "story" mode.
My guess would be, they added some effects that your 1660 just can't handle anymore.
