No balaclava ?

Hi, so yeah I'm no tac/military expert but shouldn't SWAT officers wear balaclava to protect their anonymity (to avoid retaliation) and hide emotions to be a bit more intimidating ?
Maybe I haven't unlocked enough customization yet but visually the SWAT members look under equipped

Out of all the police forces in the world the USA wears balaclava's the least.

European cops, Mexican, Indonesian cops etc all wear them. It's not a USA thing.

Don't worry Modders will get you what you want.

The department budget is quite tight atm, so in order to cut corners they no longer acquire balaclavas.

So they have the budget for cutting edge SIG MCX but can't buy balaclava you can find for 10 cents

During the early access phase of the game, you can buy the "supporter edition" DLC that come with exclusive weapons including an playable officer with balaclava always on. They remove it after 1.0 came out unfortunately. I hope they'll add more cosmetic in the future.

They removed them to be fixed due to them phasing and glitching but said they will get them back in

Well, there is technically balaclava in game - one of the SWAT officers in the police station wears it. Often hangs around the Bearcat outside main doors, along with the dude carrying legit 14.5 inch barrel M4A1.

There are mods for that. Should be in the game.

But hey, at least you can see their faces when they execute you after a bullet penetrated a wall and injured a gangster that surrendered 😂😂😂

Not really a thing that modern swat uses, the average smack head isn't gonna go out of their way to track down the identity and address of swat officers (which are protected anyway).
Still should be in game though.
