Fix for Ready Or Not low fps and low gpu usage in 1.0
THIS IS FOR ANYONE EXPERIENCING LOW FPS AND LOW GPU USAGE. VOID INTERACTIVE I HOPE THIS HELPS IN SOME WAY.

So I’ve found out that restarting the game is like re-rolling stats, but with fps. Sometimes you get lucky and the game launches with good fps which persists throughout the entire game. I have noticed that when I launch the game and spawn into the Los Suenos Police Department HQ, I can tell if I need to restart the game to “re-roll” my fps or not (I am playing in dx12). When you spawn into the PD HQ, if you stand in the front lobby and face the wall with the lobby desk, big LSPD logo on the wall, and the shooting range entrance, your game will either have low fps and low gpu usage ( in this case you must “re-roll”), or your game will have high fps and high gpu usage ( in this case your game will run great and will have no need to restart or “re-roll”). I have tried multiple things like changing cpu priority in task manager, changing 3D settings for the application in Nvidia Control Panel, changing in-game settings, adding the program to Windows Graphics Settings and setting gpu to high performance, deleting local game saves, and disabling Steam Cloud Saves. Nothing seems to have a distinct effect on performance or gpu usage. While in the process of changing these settings, I have also found out that some of the in-game settings don’t actually apply, as when you go back into the settings, they are set to what they were before you attempted to change them. What I have found to be the most consistent (still takes between 1 and 4+ tries to get the fps and gpu usage to acceptable levels of around 95fps and 80-99% usage) is to go into the game folder and delete the “steam_autocloud.vdf” file, found under “program files(x86) - Steam - Steamapps- Common - Ready Or Not - Saves, and then to also delete that file from the recycling bin. After deleting the save file, go into the Nvidia Control Panel and under “Manage 3D Settings - Program Settings” and you will find the Ready Or Not program. Click “Restore” then “Yes” then “Apply”. After this has been done. Launch the game from Steam and close Steam once the game launches. This is all done with Steam Cloud Saves enabled. For some reason this seems to have the highest probability of launching with favourable fps and gpu usage. This makes absolutely no sense to me as you can also acquire favourable fps and gpu usage by no doing any of these steps, though it does seem less consistent. It’s is literally like rolling dice or re-rolling stats. The whole process i explained takes about 10 seconds once you get it down. I hope this helps somebody. I also hope that Void Interactive will see this post and do some investigating. This will most likely be fixed in a later update, but for the time being, this is what I have found.

I have a 3700x, 3070, and 32gb 3200mhz ram.

This is what solved the problem for me:

1. Navigate to the Ready Or Not steam game folder by right clicking the game and going to properties -> installed files -> browse

2. Then, go to the Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Binaries\Win64 folder

3. Run the game directly from the ReadyOrNot-Win64-Shipping.exe file

The game should now be running perfectly fine, as it is for me now. Went from 20 FPS with less than 50% CPU and GPU usage on lowest settings, to over 120 FPS with all graphics on epic.
I have no clue what's causing the problem nor why this works, but I'll just keep opening the game this way untill it's fixed.

This all seems rather anecdotal.

Hah, I've been running it directly from this due to making my own shortcut with DX12 forced all along. Lucky me.

This works. It even fixes the stuttering caused by AMD's Smart Access Memory. You're a life saver. I almost refunded the game because of how low FPS I got and the unbearable stutters.
